The CB500X is Honda's most accessible adventure platform — lightweight, approachable, and used for everything from daily commuting to proper trail riding and light touring. The exposed stator cover, clutch cover, radiator, and fairing panels are all directly in the line of impact in any fall or off-road tip-over, and the bike ships with no factory crash protection.

Upper and lower crash bars are available separately — upper bars protect the fairing and tank area, lower bars protect the engine cases, stator, and clutch cover. Both can be run together for full coverage.

The center stand makes chain maintenance and rear tyre changes practical in the field — Honda offers it as an accessory, not standard. The skid plate protects the engine underside from rocks and rough terrain. Side carriers give the CB500X a solid base for panniers. The radiator guard shields against stone strikes. The top case mounting adds a top case capacity for daily commuting and light touring.

Everything mounts to the original attachment points without modifications to the motorcycle.
