Yamaha's own factory accessory catalogue for the Tracer 700 explicitly lists crash bars, engine sliders, and a radiator guard among the first recommended add-ons, recognising how this platform is actually used — from daily commuting to off-road fire trails. One long-term FZ-07 owner with 55,000 miles described the engine as "an absolute gem" while noting that the bike's light weight makes drops in everyday use a real possibility.

Protection for three different riding styles

On the naked MT-07 and FZ-07, crash bars protect the exposed engine cases and frame. Crash bars with sliders add a sliding contact point for low-side incidents — reducing the risk of the bike catching during a fall. The radiator guard shields the radiator core from stone strikes and debris on mixed-terrain and fire road riding. The center stand makes chain maintenance and long-term parking practical on a bike regularly used as a daily commuter.
